Hey All,
Just wanted to give a quick update. The season has come and gone here at Valparaiso University. We were able to win a game in the tournament before losing to the eventual conference champion team Green Bay. Tomorrow is the due date of my little guy. I will let you know when the baby does come. Caleb and I have decided to name the baby Ezekiel Thomas Leuzinger. We look forward to his arrival and pray for a smooth and safe delivery. I attached the most recent picture of me at 39 weeks. The Lord has blessed me with a smooth pregnancy, and for that I am so thankful!! I will keep you posted on how the delivery goes. Megan Hey All,
It is amazing to me how fast time is flying by. I didn't realize it has been 2 months since I wrote in my blog. The picture above is from yesterday :) I came home to flowers and some chocolate covered strawberries from Caleb. I fixed dinner which consisted of ravioli, broccoli, and a piece of cheesecake to finish off dinner. I am so thankful that the Lord blessed me with a man like Caleb. We have now celebrated the last 5 Valentine's together, but our second one as a married couple. This will be our last one without kids, and we couldn't be more excited to be welcoming our baby boy into the world in a few weeks. It is hard to believe we only have 2 more weeks left of the regular season for basketball and then we will enter into the conference tournament. We have had an interesting and at times trying season with injuries and other things, and yet I have really enjoyed being able to work with the girls and pour into them. Caleb has been coaching an 8th grade girls basketball team at the school he teaches at, and so far they are undefeated and doing really well. I have been able to go to a few games, and quickly have picked up on how much the parents and girls enjoy having Caleb as the coach. Although basketball is not Caleb's main sport, he does a really good job with the girls. I am now 32 1/2 weeks along in my pregnancy. My sister in law is actually due tomorrow with their second child, but so far the little guy is acting like he wants to stay inside a little while longer. Below is a picture of me at 32 weeks...so thankful the Lord has blessed me with a smooth pregnancy and for that I am so thankful! I hope to write here sooner next time! God bless, Megan Hey All,
Wow! It is hard to believe that it is already the month of December and on top of that almost Christmas. Time has been flying by and I have been staying busy as we are in the middle of our season now. We will be wrapping up non-conference play next Monday and then we will have a little break from basketball which will be nice. We are 5-5 currently...hoping to head into the break with a WIN against Bradley. Once we get back from our break, we will be starting our conference play. Caleb and I will be going to TN for a few days to be with his family, and then swing back up to IN to be with my parents and family for a few days. Caleb will then go back down to spend some more time with his family. I have a more limited break due to our basketball game schedule, but that is okay. Caleb will be coaching the 8th grade girls basketball team at Morgan Township. Their season will start after the New Year, so he is looking forward to coaching again even though it is not football. It is also mind boggling to think that I am coming up on the 24 week mark of my pregnancy. I had my glucose test this morning and will be getting the results back from that in the next few days. The picture above is from my anatomy ultrasound in which they checked everything out in and on the baby. So far, he looks to be developing normally and for that we are so thankful. I continue to feel good and am continuing to work out which I think has been helpful. I will have another ultrasound on Monday to check out a few things that they were not able to get good pictures of, and then will have a routine doctor appointment later that day. We have been struck with some frigid temperatures this week. I hope everyone is being smart and staying inside as much as possible. I pray you all have a wonderful Christmas with your families. We have so many things to be thankful for, and yet may we never forget to be thankful for and to our Lord Jesus Christ. Merry CHRISTmas!!!! God bless, Megan Hey All,
We officially start the regular season on Saturday against Stetson in Florida. It will be a tough season opener for us, but you gotta start somewhere. We have made a lot of strides since I arrived here this summer, but there are always things to work on, so we should never get satisfied. My prayer is that the Lord would be glorified and that He would keep us safe in our travels and on the court. On a side note, baby boy continues to do well. It is hard to believe I am already 18 1/2 weeks along. Before I know it, it will be the halfway point of my pregnancy. God has been good in graciously allowing me so far to have a good pregnancy and for that I am so thankful. Last but not least, as we officially welcome a new president of the United States of America, may we strive to pray for Donald Trump and his staff. The reality is, regardless who is in leadership of our country, God is in control! I am thankful we can rest in that :) God bless, Megan Hey All,
I just wanted to let you all in on a little bit of exciting news. Caleb and I are beyond blessed, and thankful to the Lord, to announce that we are expecting a baby boy due April 8th, 2017! "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you." Jeremiah 1:5 We look forward to seeing how the Lord is going to use this precious blessing from above for His Kingdom. It has also been a blessing to not have any morning sickness during this pregnancy and overall I feel really good. The season is quickly approaching here. We have an exhibition game on November 3rd against UINDY and then we have our first official game at Stetson on November 12th. God bless, Megan Hey All,
I just wanted to let you know I updated the schedule tab with our upcoming season schedule. I am excited for official practice to begin tomorrow. Things have been rolling along here. We have been staying busy doing some recruiting as well as of course doing day to day duties here. I was able to go visit my parents over the weekend which was nice. It was great to see family and always is. I hope everyone is doing well. God bless, Megan Hey All,
It has been awhile since I have blogged and I wanted to give you an update. I am getting acclimated with everything here at Valparaiso University I feel like. God has been gracious and has given me the strength and every day wisdom to get through each day. I love the girls that we have on the team. They are all respectful and truly do want to excel not only on the court but in life. I survived my first recruiting month which was in July. We were able to solidify our 2017 recruiting class, and have now begun working on our 2018 recruiting class. My husband enjoys his job so far teaching at a MS/HS just outside of Valparaiso. He is teaching at Morgan Township, which is a rural school. He will also be the head coach of the 8th grade girls basketball team starting in January. He has really enjoyed the school so far and comments frequently on how welcoming the staff has been and how respectful the kids are. I guess that is all for now. I am looking forward to a weekend of being able to relax. Next weekend Caleb's parents come in town. It will be good to see them :) God bless, Megan Hey All,
Just wanted to give you a quick update that I have been wanting to share...alot has happened since I last posted. First off, I will not be going back overseas this coming year. I will be coaching this coming year at Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana as an assistant coach for the women's basketball team. My husband was also able to get a job and he will be teaching Health and P.E. at Morgan Township M.S./H.S. We both feel like this is where the Lord is leading us in the next chapter of our lives together. It was really quite miraculous to see how everything worked out from the smallest of details to the largest. We have been up here in Valparaiso, IN now for 3 weeks and have been busy getting settled in. I head out on the recruiting trail next week. I am excited to start scoping out some talent for the VALPO Crusaders. I attached a picture below of our day camp that we had this past week. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend :) God bless, Megan Hey All,
I made it back safely to the States! What a blessing to be back in the States. It has been nice to see my husband and my family. It has been pretty busy since being back stateside. I flew into Chicago and spent some time with my brother and his family. After that, my husband and I drove down to see my parents and grandparents. We then drove to see one of my good friends at her wedding reception. I got to see my sisters there which is nice. I am now back in Bristol and will be here a few weeks before leaving to go to Ohio next weekend. God bless, Megan |
Info:I am currently playing basketball professionally. The Lord has blessed me with so many opportunities. I hope to be able to share some of my experiences with you! Archives
