This afternoon we had practice from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. We are out a few players right now who have some injuries, so we did a lot of drill work today and some scrimmaging at the end.
Tonight I was able to relax for a little bit which i don't feel like I have been able to do for awhile.
To rewind a little bit:
My time in Ankara was a blast! I was able to reconnect with old teammates, friends from church, and connect with some new people. The Lord really blessed my time there and for that I am thankful :). It was a busy three days, but a lot of FUN!!
ALL-STAR WEEKEND:
This weekend at the All-Star game was busy as well. We flew from Adana to Istanbul and then we took a 5 hour train ride the next day to where the All-Star game was located. By the time we got to the hotel we had a couple of hours to relax and get ready for the cocktail party that night. The cocktail party consisted of eating and the announcement of the All-Star teams.
Sunday was game day! My roommate, Jo, won the three point shooting contest before the game actually started! I was selected to play on the white team. This year there were foreigners and Turkish players on the same team. My team played against the red team, and we ended up winning the game :). All-Star games aren't taken that serious, but it still made for a fun day.
I hope everyone has a great hump day tomorrow :)!! I will be sleeping in some and then we have one practice tomorrow afternoon.
Until tomorrow,
Megan

Verse of the Day:
In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?— Psalm 56:4 (NIV)
Thoughts on Today's Verse...When all is said and done, there really isn't a whole lot we can trust. Most of us have been hurt at one time or another by a friend who has betrayed our trust. The world economy is volatile and things can turn sour in just a few days. The weather shifts and changes by the hour. But in our world of change, in our heartbreak and disappointment, there is one constant. We can trust God. We don't have to fear change. He is our anchor that holds in the strongest storms. He is our strength in our worst battles. His word and his promises speak of good things for us. We don't have to be afraid; we can trust in him.
My Utmost For His Highest:
Beware of anything that competes with your loyalty to Jesus Christ. The greatest competitor of true devotion to Jesus is the service we do for Him. It is easier to serve than to pour out our lives completely for Him. The goal of the call of God is His satisfaction, not simply that we should do something for Him. We are not sent to do battle for God, but to be used by God in His battles. Are we more devoted to service than we are to Jesus Christ Himself?
Our Daily Bread:
As a Christian, you may never write a book, but by living for God you will be one! You will be an open book, an “epistle of Christ” for all to read.
Oh, we would write our record plain
And come in time to see
Our unsaved neighbors won to Christ
While reading you and me. —Anon.
If someone were to read your life like a book,
would they find Jesus in its pages?
