Yesterday was a busy day with sleeping, doing a pool workout, and also going to visit an American family here in Samsun. It was a blast!!
Yesterday when I did my pool workout, my phone decided to go for a swim, so I was without a phone yesterday and today, but praise the Lord my phone works now!! Totally a miracle, because the phone was at the bottom of the pool, but it works amazingly!! Ironically enough the year I actually buy a nice phone overseas is the year it decides to take a swim haha. Gotta just laugh because otherwise might get upset lol. Not it's okay it is replaceable so it is all good. Even if it wouldn't have worked again, I would have been fine with getting a new one.
I hope you all are have had a great day today! My day has been busy so far. I woke up early and went and got a lift in and biked 15 minutes. Then I came back to my apartment and did a pool workout. I had a little bit of chill time and then headed to afternoon practice. I am done for the day as far as my workouts go - I have done enough ha. Today I can actually tell my foot is feeling better. I think I will be able to ditch the crutches soon and just go in the boot. I think I will keep the crutches until I am 2 or 3 weeks out - don't want to push it too much and regret it later. The pool workouts have been a blessing So nice to be able to still feel like I am staying in shape !!!
Tomorrow we leave for Ankara. I will get to meet up with some friends there from my first season when I played there in Ankara which will be great. We play Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in a tournament, and then we will be finished with the pre-season tournaments.
Here are the devotions from the previous 2 days from "Jesus Calling":
October 2nd
NEVER TAKE FOR GRANTED My intimate nearness. Marvel at the wonder of My continual Presence with you. Even the most ardent human lover cannot be with you always. Nor can another person know the intimacies of your heart, mind, and spirit. I know everything about you---even to the number of hairs on your head. You don’t need to work at revealing yourself to me.
Many people spend a lifetime or a small fortune searching for someone who understands them. Yet I am freely available to all who call upon My Name, who open their hearts to receive Me as Savior. This simple act of faith is the beginning of a lifelong love story. I, the Lover of your soul, understand you perfectly and love you eternally.
*This is awesome!! So comforting to know we serve a God who knows ALL!! Who else in this world is capable of having the capacity to know everything?? No one is. Thank you Lord for who YOU are.
October 3rd
WHEN MANY THINGS SEEM to be going wrong, trust Me. When your life feels increasingly out of control, thank Me. These are supernatural responses, and they can lift you above your circumstances. If you to what comes naturally in the face of difficulties, you may fall prey to negativism. Even a few complaints can set you on a path that is a downward spiral, by darkening your perspective and mind-set. With this attitude controlling you, complaints flow more and more readily from your mouth. Each one moves you steadily down the slippery spiral. The lower you go, the faster you slide; BUT it is still possible to apply brakes. Cry out to Me in My Name! Affirm your trust in Me, regardless of how you feel. Thank Me for everything, though this seems unnatural—even irrational. Gradually you will begin to ascend, recovering your lost ground.
When you are back on ground level, you can face your circumstances from a humble perspective. If you choose supernatural responses this time---trusting and thanking Me---you will experience My unfathomable Peace.
Psalm 13:5 – “But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me.”
Do you feel like you are going through a trial in your life right now? Isn't the above devotional awesome?? We are to thank the Lord in the good times and the bad - Amen? :) I am so thankful, that even though I am experiencing a trial of my own, with my broken foot, that I realize that God has a reason for it!

Have a good night!
