Today was a good day :)
We played today at 5:00 p.m. against Mersin. We ended up losing by about 8 points. We are so close, but just haven't been able to get any "WINS" lately.
This morning I woke up around 9:30 and then had team breakfast at 10 a.m. After breakfast I worked out for a few hours. I did 30 minutes on the bike, then lifted and did some abs...then I swam some and then I went in the sauna for 20 minutes. Felt awesome to sweat Always does!! Keeps me busy though doing all that stuff. I got done around 12:45 and then I took a quick shower and then it was time to go to lunch at 1:30 p.m.
After breakfast we had a little over an hour to chill, and then it was time to head to the game. I have a few mutual friends that are friends with some people here in Ankara actually. David and Leah teach at a school here in the city, and so I let them know about my game, and we ended up being able to see one another and chat after our game. It was a lot of FUN to talk to some fellow Americans :)!! David graduated from Liberty - crazy how there are Liberty connections all over the world. Thankful that they are seeking the Lord and following after Him...all the way to Turkey :)!!! Awesome!!!
God is so good :)!!
Tomorrow we don't play until 7:00 p.m. I will be back at it tomorrow working out after breakfast :)!!
October 5th - "Jesus Calling"
REMEMBER THAT JOY is not dependent on your circumstances. Some of the world’s most miserable people are those whose circumstances seem the most enviable. People who reach the top of the ladder career-wise are often surprised to find emptiness awaiting them. True Joy is a by-product of living in My Presence. Therefore you can experience it in palaces, in prisons…anywhere.
Do not judge a day as devoid of Joy just because it contains difficulties. Instead, concentrate on staying in communication with Me. Many of the problems that clamor for your attention will resolve themselves. Other matters you must deal with, but I will help you with them. If you make problem-solving secondary to the goal of living close to Me, you can find Joy even in your most difficult days.
Habakkuk 3:17-19 - Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! The Sovereign Lord is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights.
*So thankful for God's JOY that He freely gives to us. Do you find yourself in a situation right now, where you are getting depressed, tired, weary, or distraught? The only person who can help us truly cope with our circumstances around us is the Lord. He is "The Almighty" - He is capable to handle all of your problems or concerns that you may have :)!! What are you waiting for?
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. It is homecoming weekend at Liberty University this weekend. I hope everyone has an enjoyable time enjoying all of the festivities and spending time with family and friends.
God bless,
Megan
