This afternoon I went over to one of my teammate's houses and baked cookies. We had a lot of fun hanging out :) Here is a link to a few pictures I took below. Gamze is my teammate and then she also had a friend over.

So, as a result of us losing to Fenerbahce and Besiktas beating Tarsus, we now play Tarsus. We are seeded sixth out of 8 teams in the playoffs. We will get matched up with TARSUS who has the #3 seed. This is actually the best scenario possible, because we beat them twice during the regular season. As a result of beating them twice, we go into playoffs with a 1 game advantage on them. The first team to win 3 games out of 5 games advances to the semi-finals. This means, we just need to win 2 games in order to do that.
Playoff Schedule:
Saturday - March 26th - @ Tarsus
Tuesday - March 29th - HOME GAME
Thursday - March 31st - HOME GAME *if needed
Sunday - April 3rd - @ Tarsus *if needed
We could potentially be finished in two games if we win the first 2. I will keep you up to date on how we do :)
Well, it is bed for me in a little bit. Gotta get rested up for the week of practice ahead.
Shout out to the West Virginia Flames as they start off their practice today for AAU basketball season!!!!!!!!! Go FLAMES :)
God bless,
Megan

To fear the LORD is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.— Proverbs 8:13 (NIV)
Thoughts on Today's Verse...When we have a deep and reverential respect for our holy God, we are going to love what he loves and hate what he hates. We need to realize, however, that the word "hate" is used very carefully in Scripture. This strong verb is not used often, and when it is used with God as the subject, the object of God's hatred needs to be noticed. God hates evil, which in this case is defined as pride, arrogance, evil behavior, and vile speech. These are things that Christians not only avoid, but they also loathe. God wants his people to be people of character -- people of humility, moral behavior, and helpful speech.
My Utmost For His Highest:
The inescapable spiritual need each of us has is the need to sign the death certificate of our sin nature. I must take my emotional opinions and intellectual beliefs and be willing to turn them into a moral verdict against the nature of sin; that is, against any claim I have to my right to myself. Paul said, “I have been crucified with Christ . . . .” He did not say, “I have made a determination to imitate Jesus Christ,” or, “I will really make an effort to follow Him”-but-”I have been identified with Him in His death.” Once I reach this moral decision and act on it, all that Christ accomplished for me on the Cross is accomplished in me. My unrestrained commitment of myself to God gives the Holy Spirit the opportunity to grant to me the holiness of Jesus Christ.
Our Daily Bread:Kind words may be free, but they give a priceless lift of spirit. Why not encourage someone today?
The power in words can build up or tear down--
Create a big smile or produce a sad frown;
So in all your contacts with people each day,
Be sure to encourage in all that you say. —Fitzhugh
A gentle word of compliment falls lightly
but it carries great weight.
