We got our gas replaced this morning as well which was a huge blessing. I was able to take a hot shower after the game tonight...yippee!! Speaking of the game, we WON!! We are now 2-1 during this tournament. The game was close throughout against Kayseri, but we ended up winning by around 11 or so.
After the game we had an unannounced team dinner at our General Manager's Restaurant. The dinner was great, but it just took awhile. We had served to us: salad, soup, bread, chicken, rice, and fruit for dessert. After the dinner, we got dropped off to our apartments. I then went to Starbucks to meet up with Dila. I had brought her a few things from the States and wanted to be able to give them to her. It was different playing against her today because last year we were on the same team.

Verse of the day:
It is the Lord your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him.— Deuteronomy 13:4 (NIV)
Thoughts on Today's Verse...So many people want us to follow their lead and obey their voice. Only God alone has proved himself faithful and loving through the ages. In his might he is to be revered. But rather than seeing reverence as a "church thing," we are reminded by Moses it is a "life thing." We are to obey and keep his commandments, we are to serve him and depend upon him in our daily lives. Rather than silence in the assembly, reverence is action to his glory!
My Utmost For His Highest:
"I cannot save and sanctify myself; I cannot make atonement for sin; I cannot redeem the world; I cannot right what is wrong, purify what is impure, or make holy what is unholy. That is all the sovereign work of God. Do I have faith in what Jesus Christ has done? He has made the perfect atonement for sin. Am I in the habit of constantly realizing it? The greatest need we have is not to do things, but to believe things. The redemption of Christ is not an experience, it is the great act of God which He has performed through Christ, and I have to build my faith on it."
What a great reminder that we cannot truly accomplish anything on our own!!
Our Daily Bread:
Sometimes it may feel right to seek revenge, hoard money, chase pleasure, or yell at people who yell at us. But God’s ways are different from ours. He has painted a bull’s-eye on forgiving those who have hurt us, on giving generously to those in need, on living to please Him rather than ourselves, and on turning the other cheek. We need to pray, “Teach me Your way, O Lord; I will walk in Your truth” (Ps. 86:11). And then we need to aim to follow His ways in all that we do and say.
God’s ways are our targets for living.
Well, I am off to bed! Tomorrow we play Ceyhan at 3:00 p.m. to conclude the 4 game tournament. I will let you know how we do tomorrow!
I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!
I posted a few pics below of my uniform. I normally wear #40, but I guess there was a mix-up with my number, so we will see if they change it or not. They said they would, but I am not sure if they will or not...either way is fine :)
Gnight,
Megan
