Today it is game day here in Schio, Italy. We play at at 8:30 p.m. which is 2:30 p.m. EST. Normally we are used to playing earlier, so we have a lot more down time before the game today.
Shoot around went well this morning, and we are all excited and ready for the game tonight! Go CCC!!! First game in Euroleague for 2012! I will let you all know how the game goes. You may or may not be able to watch it from this link:

We are flying back directly after the game, so it will be a late night for us tonight. I will try to write a quick blog when I get home to update you on the game :).
I posted a great song to listen to below :). I also posted a few pictures from a few days ago when I went to a couple different schools with some of my teammates to talk about basketball.
I hope you all have a wonderful day today! Remember to be a reflection of the Lord in all that you do and say.
Oh and 2 weeks from today my sisters will be here!
God bless,
Megan

Verse of the Day:
Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. — James 1:12
I love this verse! What an awesome reminder, that no matter what we are going through, or what we will face, we are called to persevere. Our award is waiting for us in Heaven, where we as believers have the opportunity to spend eternity with our Lord and Savior praising and worshiping Him!
My Utmost for His Highest:
"We have to get rid of the idea that we understand ourselves. That is always the last bit of pride to go. The only One who understands us is God. The greatest curse in our spiritual life is pride. If we have ever had a glimpse of what we are like in the sight of God, we will never say, “Oh, I’m so unworthy.” We will understand that this goes without saying. But as long as there is any doubt that we are unworthy, God will continue to close us in until He gets us alone. Whenever there is any element of pride or conceit remaining, Jesus can’t teach us anything. He will allow us to experience heartbreak or the disappointment we feel when our intellectual pride is wounded. He will reveal numerous misplaced affections or desires— things over which we never thought He would have to get us alone. Many things are shown to us, often without effect. But when God gets us alone over them, they will be clear."
Are there things that you and I try to hold on to that we need to let go of? The reality of it is, we need to keep our hands wide open, ready and willing to give and to receive as the Lord sees fit. Everything that we have down on this earth was given to us from God, so we must not hold on to what we have, but realize that it all really belongs to God.
