Pretty crazy turn of events this evening. Today started out well. We slept in, had breakfast, chilled some, had a team meeting, and then headed to the game. We warmed up for the game and kept warming up only to then find out that they can't get the scoreboard working. We finally stopped warming up because it was taking a long time to fix. We waited for 2 hours until they finally called the game off. They were not able to get the shot clock working. Why you would wait to figure out the clock situation until the game beats me, but once again I am reminded that here in Turkey there are a lot of things that we as Americans do differently.
We came back to the hotel and went and got dinner as a team. Now a little chill time before bed :). Tomorrow we will play at 5:00 p.m. again which is 11:00 a.m. EST. The link to follow the live stats is on my website under the tab "info on following games"! I will let you know how the game goes!
After the game we will then be traveling back to Istanbul!

Judges 6/Matthew 27
Judges 6 – Gideon becomes Israel’s judge despite having some doubts. He tests the Lord in the form of using a fleece, and yet the Lord shows Gideon and encourages him that he is the right person for the job. A lot of times are finite minds cannot comprehend what the Lord has in store for us, but it is then we must really we serve a God who knows far better than we do!
Matthew 27 - Jesus gets falsely accused of things He did not do nor is He guilty of and yet He remains silent. How quick I am at times to speak up if I have been falsely accused. What a great reminder to trust in the Lord’s perfect plan at all times!!
God bless,
