Tomorrow we have off which is so nice, and then we will be playing again on Saturday. I am going to enjoy my OFF day :) I hope everyone is doing well.
Verse of the Day:
“Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” James 1:2-4
I love these verses. Isn’t it pretty amazing that we should consider it JOY when we go through troubles. I don’t know about you, but it isn’t always easy to be happy when going through a trial. But when we step outside of ourselves and the situation, we see that we have the opportunity to GROW in our walk with the Lord. I am all about growing. I think about when we were younger and you hear the comment “oh maybe it is just growing pains”. It can be uncomfortable to GROW, but when the growth is complete, you realize why you went through a certain valley or trial, because it was through it that you GREW in the Lord.
My Utmost For His Highest:
We have a tendency to look for wonder in our experience, and we mistake heroic actions for real heroes. It’s one thing to go through a crisis grandly, yet quite another to go through every day glorifying God when there is no witness, no limelight, and no one paying even the remotest attention to us.
Do we make a habit of glorifying God ALL the time? Or do we take breaks from time to time. The Lord gave us His all, the least we can do is give Him ALL of us. ALL the time we need to be honoring the Lord.
