I think winter weather is approaching Ankara. Today it stayed in the 30's for most of the day! I enjoy cold weather and hot weather, so I like it! This morning I pulled out my gloves and headband :)
So you are probably wandering why my title is "Goat Meat". Well, you see for lunch we had some mystery meat served to us. It was meat in a tomato type sauce, served with yogurt. I didn't really think too much of the meat to be honest. I knew it tasted a little different, but figured it was because of the tomato sauce. One of the girls on my team, Jo, who is from Kenya tells us as soon as she tastes it, "Guys this is goat meat!" She said she eats goat all of the time, and said she knows the taste. She said, "I know the difference between beef and goat and this is definitely beef; I promise!" Then, Linds eats some and says, "this is definitely not beef," and in this country it can't be pork, so there are not too many other options to choose from besides maybe lamb (sheep) or goat. So, I guess I ate some goat today, but I must say that it tasted pretty good :)!
Prayer Request: Jo is not feeling well at all. I think she may have the flu! She has a temperature, aches all over, and is coughing. Pray that she will be able to get over it pretty quick, and that those of us who are around her are able to stay healthy!
