“Restore us, O Lord, and bring us back to you again! Give us back the joys we once had.” Lamentations 5:21
Hey All,
How is everyone doing today? Happy "Hump Day" :). I am happy to report we won our game today 85-46!!
I decided to take a little diversion from Ezekial today. Philippians is one of my favorite books, and so I decided to read it. Isn't is amazing how God speaks to us when we are open to listening? I am so thankful that I serve a God who loves me and wants what
is best for me! So, I came across a bunch of verses in Philippians that I had to underline and highlight in my Bible. I just recently got a new Bible before I came overseas, and I love being able to mark a verse that sticks out to me. I have quite a few other Bibles that are just great to look through and see different verses that have stuck out to me at different times. Well, today my favorite verse that stuck out to me from my reading was:
"Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done." Phil. 4:6
God is faithful. The past week or so I have really been seeking God's guidance and direction for a decision that I have to make. I want to be able to say, "Lord, here I am. You take my life and do with it what you want to. I surrender my all to you." You know, it is amazing that whenever we completely and deliberately surrender everything to Him, He is faithful to see to it that He will lead and guide us.
While I am overseas, the Lord teaches me a lot about myself and I feel like I learn so much. Sure, I have a lot of time on my hands, but it got me thinking that you know what. "I need to dig deep into God's Word on a daily basis whether or not I in my finite mind think I have reasonable time or not. God makes time for us daily, so the least we can do is reciprocate spending time
with Him. Are you communicating with Him on a daily basis?
Well, tomorrow we have off, and I will be getting another workout
in! I hope you all have a wonderful day tomorrow!!
God bless,
Megan
