I wanted to let you know that I actually hurt my foot in yesterday's game. I found out that I fractured it, so I will be out for at least one month with a cast. I should be good to go after that :)!! Above is a picture of one of my assistant coaches carrying me around the mall tonight after the game ha. I do have crutches, but I need some bigger ones, so I can only go so far with the ones that I have.
It has been okay. I know that God has a reason behind it, and for that I am so thankful :)!! Never fun to be hurt, but God is sovereign and His ways are higher than mine.
We lost today to Fenerbahce who is the top team in Turkey. We are down to only 5 or 6 players because of injuries. Please be praying that everyone else can stay healthy!!!
Tomorrow we play another game at 1:00 p.m. (6:00 a.m. EST.) We will be playing in the consolation game. From there, we are headed to Adana for a 5 game tournament down there. We should be getting there on Tuesday early in the morning. I will keep you posted! I think it is about a 9 hour drive to Adana. I played in Adana my second season in Turkey, so I am familiar with the city.
Hope everyone has a great week ahead!! I would appreciate your prayers :)
God bless,
Megan
September 23rd - "Jesus Calling"
Walk with Me in the freedom of forgiveness. The path we follow together is sometimes steep and slippery. If you carry a burden of guilt on your back, you are most likely to stumble and fall. At your request, I will remove the heavy load from you and bury it at the foot of the cross. When I unburden you, you are undeniably free! Stand up straight and tall in My Presence, so that no one can place more burden on your back. Look into My Face and feel and feel the warmth of My Love-Light shining upon you. It is this unconditional Love that frees you from both fears and sins. Spend time basking in the Light of My Presence. As you come to know Me more and more intimately, you grow increasingly free.”
Psalm 68:19 – “Praise the Lord; praise God our savior! For each day he carries us in his arms.”
*I loved this from today's devotional - WOW!!!!
1 John 4:18 – “Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.”
