I hope you all have had a great day so far. I was blessed with another wonderful day. I slept in and then spent some time with the Lord this morning and also did some reading. Then, it was time to head to weightlifting. From weightlifting we went and got some shots up. I always enjoy the shooting practice, because we are able to get a lot of repetitions up which is nice.
This evening I have been relaxing. I came home and heated up some meat loaf in the oven that I had made yesterday - it was so good!! I then listened to a message that I wanted to share with you all. It was so good :)

What Do You Say?
Colossians 3
How many moments of my life can I fill with the conscience awareness of God’s presence?
The foremost quality of a “with God” life is GRATEFULNESS.
· All of life is undeserved and an unearned gift from God.
· Colossians 3:17
Gratitude is the result of 1,000 choices.
1. Gratitude is silenced by ASSUMPTIONS.
a. You have to say it and you have to show “gratitude”.
b. When is the last time you told someone you were thankful for them?
c. Gratitude is never invisible or never silent.
2. Gratitude begins where your sense of ENTITLEMENT ends.
a. You can’t be grateful for something if you feel entitled to it.
b. What do you feel entitled to in your own life?
c. 1 Timothy 6:17
d. We owe God everything!
3. Gratitude is most often about PERSPECTIVE.
a. Gratitude is not based on how GOOD your situation is, but how GOOD you see your situation to be.
b. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
c. Might we always view our life through the lens of “thankfulness”.
“To be grateful for the good things that happen in our lives is easy, but to be grateful for all of our lives—the good as well as the bad, the moments of joy as well as the moments of sorrow, the successes as well as the failures, the rewards as well as the rejections—that requires hard spiritual work.”
Application Question:
In my walk with Jesus am I becoming a more grateful person or am I becoming more of a grumbler?
The Lord has really been showing me lately the importance of being thankful and showing gratitude despite my circumstances around me. This was totally a God thing that in the midst of this "Wide Awake" Sermon Series I have been listening to each week, that this last message was on this very topic. We really do have so much to be grateful for. When is the last time you have told someone that you are grateful and thankful for them? Take the opportunity to make a phone call, email someone, text someone, or if you are able to visit someone in person. I know I have so many people that I am thankful for in my own life.
Well, I am just going to be relaxing the rest of the evening. Thankful :) Tomorrow we have practice in the afternoon and then we are watching film after that. It is crazy to think that February 1st starts on Friday. Wow...January has flown by I think.
I hope everyone has a blessed rest of your day! Oh and to give you all a little update on my sisters Mols - her first rotation on the floor went well. Thanks for your prayers and I know she along with Mor would appreciate your prayers as they still have a lot to get adjusted to in order to feel completely comfortable on their respective floors.
Thanks!
Megan
January 29th - "Jesus Calling"
KEEP YOUR FOCUS ON ME. I have gifted you with amazing freedom, including the ability to choose the focal point of your mind. Only the crown of My creation has such remarkable capability; this is a sign of being made in My image.
Let the goal of this day be to bring every thought captive to me. Whenever your mind wanders, lasso those thoughts and bring them into My Presence. In My radiant Light, anxious thoughts shrink and shrivel away. Judgmental thoughts are unmasked as you bask in my unconditional Love. Confused ideas are untangled while you rest in the simplicity of My Peace. I will guard you and keep you in constant Peace, as you focus your mind on Me.
“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!”
Isaiah 26:3
