Just wanted to write a quick blog and say things are going well here :). I had an awesome Sunday! I flew out last night to go visit my friend, and everything went smooth and I got here last night safe and sound. Today was so great. I got to worship with other Believers which was amazing!! It was my first time being able to do that in English with a body of Believers since before I left the States back in September. WOW - thank you Lord for the blessing!! The message was on the subject of "Blessings" and what that looks like throughout the Bible.
I had a great time eating lunch with a lot of foreigners and then I went and visited some other friends that I know. My friend and I then went to Starbucks and chilled there a little bit. I got a vanilla steamer which is basically hot milk frothed with vanilla flavor - it was YUMMO!
The rest of the evening I have spent hanging out with my friend, and here shortly a teammate of mine from my first year in Turkey is coming over to hang out for a little bit. It should be a lot of FUN :)
Oh and I forgot to add that for dinner tonight I had some awesome chinese food which is a rarity here in Turkey in case you were wondering. I posted a picture above of the yummy goodness.
Well, I will Lord willing write tomorrow when I get back to Samsun :) I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Here we go for a new week!
Crazy I have been over here for 4 weeks now since the New Year break. Time flies!!
God bless,
Megan
February 3rd - "Jesus Calling"
I AM WITH YOU AND FOR YOU. You face nothing alone—nothing! When you feel anxious, know that you are focusing on the visible world and leaving Me out of the picture. The remedy is simple: Fix your eyes not on what is seen but on what is unseen. Verbalize your trust in Me, the Living One who sees you always. I will get you safely through this day and all your days. But you can find ME only in the present. Each day is a precious gift from My Father. How ridiculous to grasp for future gifts when today’s is set before you! Receive today’s gift gratefully, unwrapping it tenderly and delving into its depths. As you savor this gift, you find me.
