Another day is coming to a close in Turkey. This morning I had to go with my team to do a team function. We helped with some tree planting in the city. I wish I would have brought my camera to take some pictures. It was pretty neat, because the mayor of the city was there. There were also several schools present at the event. Apparently, the event was to promote education and sports in the suburbs of the city where families are less wealthy.
This afternoon we had practice, which wasn't too bad. After practice, I came home with my sisters and we mad Mercimek Kofte. I have made it one other time, and wanted my sisters to be able to try it.
Moriah added some pictures to her album on facebook, so here is the link:

To finish out the evening, we met up with one of my friend's from church at Starbucks. I hope everyone is having a great week :) We have one practice tomorrow and film and then we play our second to last regular season game on Saturday.
God bless,
Megan

Verse of the Day:
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.— Colossians 1:15 (NIV)
Thoughts on Today's Verse...If we had been alive when Jesus worked in the carpentry shop in Nazareth or walked along the Sea of Galilee near Capernaum, we could have said, "There goes God," and been right. The amazing reality of Jesus is that he was God among us. Matthew calls him Immanuel, "God with us." In Colossians 1, Paul pours out every superlative he can use to describe Jesus' preeminence over everything and everyone. He is God with a human face. He is the ruler, the transcendent one, who reigns above all creation. He is also our Savior and our sacrifice.
My Utmost For His Highest:
Jesus has some extraordinarily peculiar sheep: some that are unkempt and dirty, some that are awkward or pushy, and some that have gone astray! But it is impossible to exhaust God’s love, and it is impossible to exhaust my love if it flows from the Spirit of God within me. The love of God pays no attention to my prejudices caused by my natural individuality. If I love my Lord, I have no business being guided by natural emotions— I have to feed His sheep. We will not be delivered or released from His commission to us. Beware of counterfeiting the love of God by following your own natural human emotions, sympathies, or understandings. That will only serve to revile and abuse the true love of God.
Our Daily Bread:
We say we love humanity,
But can we really claim
A readiness to sacrifice
For them in Jesus’ name? —Sper
