Psalm 118:13-14 “I was pushed back and about to fall, but the Lord helped me. The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.”
Praise the Lord that he is there for us whenever we need him. He promises to pick us up when we fall. There is no one else in this world that can compare to Him!
Proverbs 4:23 “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.”
2 Peter 1-4 “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.”
This world is full of temporary pleasures and things that can be enticing but are not necessarily good. When we have our focus on Jesus, we realize that the only person who can truly fulfill us is Jesus Christ! We need to daily ask ourselves who we are serving. Are we serving the Lord or are we serving men?
