We had two practices today, and both went well. Not too much happened today besides that. I read some this afternoon between practices, took a nap, and then watched some game film from when we played Tarsus during the Botas Cup. We will play Tarsus on Saturday in our first official game.
The weather over here continues to be nice and warm. I am not complaining at all :) I get to wear shorts and t-shirt to practice every day!

Today's Verse:Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.— Psalm 27:14 (NIV)
Thoughts on Today's Verse...If there is anything we don't like to do, it's wait. Maybe that is why God is so interested in us learning to do it! There is something purifying about remaining strong in tough times and remaining faithful when ill winds blow. So God gives us times of waiting to see if our search is really for him or merely for something new or easy.
My Utmost for His Highest:
The key to the missionary’s devotion is that he is attached to nothing and to no one except our Lord Himself. It does not mean simply being detached from the external things surrounding us. Our Lord was amazingly in touch with the ordinary things of life, but He had an inner detachment except toward God. External detachment is often an actual indication of a secret, growing, inner attachment to the things we stay away from externally.
The duty of a faithful missionary is to concentrate on keeping his soul completely and continually open to the nature of the Lord Jesus Christ. The men and women our Lord sends out on His endeavors are ordinary human people, but people who are controlled by their devotion to Him, which has been brought about through the work of the Holy Spirit.
Our Daily Bread:
Young or old—God can use you if you’re willing.

Today has been an interesting day. My internet was out last night and most of today, but thankfully someone came and fixed it this evening. I wasn't sure if I would be able to blog or not but I was able to :)
I hope you all have a great week ahead!
