While I was in Iowa I was able to check out Caleb's college (Dordt College), meet some of his friends, cook a few meals, watch a couple movies, of course take in some NCAA action, spend some quality time with Caleb, eat out a few times, play some basketball and raquetball with Caleb, go to church on Easter, go for a walk with Caleb, did a little running by myself, and also some quality chill time. Oh and I also have to add we visited Blue Bunny and got some awesome Ice cream. Le Mars the ice cream capital of the world is about 30 minutes from where Dordt College is. Caleb is in the midst of his student teaching, but he had last Friday and Monday off because of the Easter weekend, so I flew in to Iowa on Thursday and then left on Tuesday morning. The weekend was definitely full of memories and I am thankful to the Lord that it worked out that I could go see him and spend some time with him. Thankful for a guy who loves the Lord most importantly, and who shows Christ like love to me through his actions and what he says. Super neat and definitely a gift from above.
I have been staying busy going here and there. I have gone to Ohio a few times to see my sisters and grandparents. I am also continuing to work out and do basketball workouts as well. I am not sure what this summer looks like. I may try to play in the WNBA, but just waiting to see right now if anything opens up. If nothing does open up, then I will spend my summer working out, hanging with family and friends and Caleb, as well as working some summer basketball camps. I know the Lord has it all planned out, and so I can rest in His perfect plan. Although, I am going to be honest, sometimes it would be nice to know what my future plans are. Once again though I can rest in THE ONE who knows and holds my future in His hands. Thankful!
Well, it is bed for me here soon. I have had a busy day, starting with early morning workouts. Was nice to get a 6:15 a.m. wake up call...joking of course...but always glad to have the workouts behind me by about 10 a.m. Thankful for the ability to get out of bed, workout, and do basketball.
I hope you all are doing well! Just wanted to write a quick update. I hope to be more faithful in my blog posting from here on out.
Below are a few more pictures from my weekend in Iowa!
