I was typing this on the bus ride to Ordu earlier today:
Today was our "off day", but it has been pretty busy. I woke up and finished packing and then we went to the airport to head to Samsun. It is crazy to think I am back in the Samsun airport, because the last time I was here I was leaving Samsun because of the situation two years ago. Originally we were told we had practice today, but then we ended up coming to Samsun and watching the President’s Cup which is the top 2 teams from last season in Turkey. Fenerbahce ended up winning the game.
Now we are headed to Ordu from Samsun, which is about a 2 hour drive. We will get to the hotel and eat dinner, then chill a little bit. It is going to be a crazy 8 weeks before heading back to the States for a break, but the Lord is faithful and will see us through. He has brought me through the first 4 weeks here, and 8 more to go until a little break. What a blessing it is that I have the opportunity to serve a God who loves me despite uncertainty, busyness, and everything else.
Tomorrow we will have 2 practices in Ordu and hopefully have some chill time. I am thankful we have made it through the pre-season and that the season will be starting on Wednesday.
Here is to a new week :)! We play two games this week...one on Wednesday, and then one back in Istanbul on Saturday. May we make a conscious effort this week to show Jesus to those around us.
God bless,
Megan
