Today was a good day, but went by fast! I went to therapy for an hour and a half this morning for my foot, then went and worked out, then came back home after grabbing lunch. Took a two hour nap and then drove Andja and her husband into town. I went to the grocery store on the way home. Came home and made dinner - had some fresh ravioli with spaghetti sauce - didn't make it really but heated everything up :).
I had my first driving experience today in Turkey. I hadn't driven a stick shift car since Poland, but it was okay today. It is amazing how quickly everything comes back to you. The drivers here in Turkey are a lot different than Poland, so you have to be careful, but it was fine.
Tomorrow we have lifting and shooting in the afternoon.
Also, tomorrow is election day in the States. I encourage you all to go out and vote! Even though I am in Turkey, I put my absentee ballot in already. I know the Lord's will will be done. I am praying for that too!!!
God bless,
Megan
November 5th - "Jesus Calling"
YOU CAN LIVE AS CLOSE TO ME as you choose. I set up no barriers between us; neither do I tear down barriers that you erect.
People tend to think their circumstances determine the quality of their lives. So they pour their energy into trying to control those situations. They feel happy when things are going well, and sad or frustrated when things don’t turn out as they’d hoped. They rarely question this correlation between their circumstances and feelings. Yet it is possible to be content in any and every situation.
Put more energy into trusting Me and enjoying My Presence. Don’t let your well-being depend on your circumstances. Instead, connect your joy to My precious promises:
I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go. I will meet all your needs according to My glorious riches. Nothing in all creation will be able to separate you from My Love.
Day #5 - I am thankful for the blessing I have to play basketball. All glory be to God for Him allowing me to use the game of basketball as a platform to share His name!! Thank you Lord!
