Today has been a nice and relaxing day. I always enjoy my off day of the week, which usually comes on Sunday. It gives me time to recharge, do some cooking, go to church (online), and relax. It is hard to believe that we are already approaching the mid part of November. It is also hard to believe that in 39 days I will be traveling back to the USA. When the days get in the 30's and eventually the 20's, you know that sooner than later it will be
Today I slept in, went to Lubin to get some groceries, and then came back and cooked some stuff. Here are a few pictures that I took in the process:

Verse of the day:
I [Paul] thank God, whom I serve, as my forefathers did, with a clear conscience, as night and day I constantly remember you [Timothy] in my prayers.— 2 Timothy 1:3 (NIV)
Thoughts on Today's Verse...Paul is near the end of his life, facing persecution in a horrible prison. Many of the young men whom he had mentored have left the faith or have turned against him. How can he give thanks? Paul speaks of his confidence in his own victorious future with Jesus and in his son in the faith, Timothy. What makes this special is that he communicates it to Timothy. He's not content to just give thanks to God in prayer! He also tells Timothy in this letter how precious he is and how the old apostle prays for his son in the faith, Timothy. When was the last time you sent a note of thanks to the people you appreciate, letting them know they give you reason to rejoice before the throne of God?
I thought this was pretty fitting to have this be the "Verse of the day". The message I listened to earlier today was about Paul as well :) Pretty cool!!
My Utmost For His Highest
“Our faith must be in the One from whom our salvation springs. Jesus Christ wants our absolute, unrestrained devotion to Himself.”
Devotion to something is a sincere matter. When we are devoted to something, it means that we are attentive to sit, we care about it, and we commit time to it. What are you devoted to? Yes, it is okay to be devoted to your family, spouse, friends, etc. BUT our first priority and source of our devotion should be to our Lord and Savior.
