You know, we may not understand why things like this happen down on this earth, but one thing I do know is that I serve a God who knows exactly what is going on. His perfect plan will come to pass. We need to not take any moment that we have down on this earth for granted. You and I never know when we may breathe our last breath. I encourage you to search your heart. Do you have a personal relationship with Jesus? If not, there is not time to waste. The Lord is waiting and His arms are open and He is wanting to welcome you into His family.
Today has been a good day here. We had two practices today (one in the morning and one at night). We play Widzew tomorrow which is a team that is 4-4 in Polish League, but has won their last two games. We are hoping to extend our winning streak in Polish League. Tomorrow we play at 5:45 p.m. (11:45 a.m. EST). From looking at the website, it does not look like our game is televised tomorrow. I will let you know how the game goes.
I decided to roast some almonds after practice tonight, so I took a picture above. Right now they are cooling as I type this blog. They look really good though :)
We will have Sunday off and then we will leave for Russia on Tuesday. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend ahead. I know a lot of schools in the States will be starting their Thanksgiving breaks :). Enjoy your time off from school and enjoy precious and priceless time with your families.
Until next time,
Megan
Verse of the Day:
“But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.” James 3:17-18
PURE – what an awesome word. The only person who has ever been truly pure is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I don’t know about you, but I want the kind of wisdom from the Lord that is pure, gentle, peace loving, and full of mercy. When we align ourselves with the Lord, He shines so bright in us and through us, that people will see a difference in us. Do you want to be different? Ask the Lord for His perfect wisdom that only He can give us.
My Utmost For His Highest:
“We tend to rely on our own energy, instead of being energized by the power that comes from identification with Jesus.”
It is easy sometimes to think we have the capability to do things on our own. But how foolish we are to think that we can – we can’t!! When we identify ourselves with the Lord, He gives us more strength and power than we could ever imagine.
