That now means only 3 practices left until the regular season is complete. Sunday will be the last regular season game, and then playoffs will start next week. Any athlete has to LOVE post-season play :). We have clinched a spot in the playoffs, now it is just a matter of seeing who we will get matched up with, which we will find out on Saturday night.
This afternoon I have done some school work and then I did some cooking. I decided I would cook some food for dinner, since I had quite a bit of time on my hands. I might add also, that today was gorgeous weather out. I think we are starting to see glimpses of summer trying to peak through. Yes, I know it is only March, but Adana is known for HOT weather. It was 70 degrees today and it felt great :)
Below is what I had for dinner! I made some homemade creamed corn and then I tried out a new recipe and made some tuna patties.
Not sure when tomorrow's practice is, but I am thinking it will be early afternoon sometime.
God bless,
Megan
He is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.— Colossians 1:18 (NIV)
Thoughts on Today's Verse...Jesus is the living leader and head of his church. There is no man who has this right. No one but Jesus has earned this position. Jesus is supreme. Even though supremacy is rightfully his because of his divinity, he has earned his supremacy by what he has done for us. He was there before there was a beginning, he was the Creator of all that is, and he was the one who passed through death victoriously for us.
My Utmost For His Highest:
No struggling or praying will enable you to stop doing certain things, and the penalty of sin is that you gradually get used to it, until you finally come to the place where you no longer even realize that it is sin. No power, except the power that comes from being filled with the Holy Spirit, can change or prevent the inherent consequences of sin.
“If we walk in the light as He is in the light. . .” (1 John 1:7). For many of us, walking in the light means walking according to the standard we have set up for another person. The deadliest attitude of the Pharisees that we exhibit today is not hypocrisy but that which comes from unconsciously living a lie.
Our Daily Bread:
God’s answers to our prayers may exceed our expectations.
