I just want to take a few minutes and say how proud I am of Caleb Thomas as he completed his football college career today and is soon to finish his school in December :)!!! What really sets Caleb apart in my mind is who he is and what he does of off the football field...not on it. Caleb is one of the most honest, genuine, and sincere people I have ever met!! I am so thankful that the Lord brought Caleb into my life. What a pure example of patience, perseverance, persistence, determination, intelligence, and genuineness. Most importantly he loves the Lord with all his heart and that in turn allows him to be able to display and live out the qualities above. I am excited to see what the Lord has in store for him in the days, months, and years ahead. I know he has big plans for him. Thank you for supporting me and encouraging me and inspiring me to grow in my walk with the Lord.
Today was a good day here. I slept in, went and worked out, then came back and took a nap, and then I went to practice. After practice I came home and watched my boyfriend and his team play. Caleb actually got to start today which was neat!! Although the team came up on the short end, they found hard!!
I wanted to share a few verses from Romans that I read today:
Romans 3:23-24
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
Romans 5:8
8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 8:28 (#10 of 20 Popular Bible Verses to Memorize)
28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Romans 12:1-2
1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of worship. 2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.
I hope everyone has had a great day today!!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend :) Below are a few pictures from the game today! Yay for technology I got to watch the game from here in Israel :)!!
God bless,
Megan
