For lunch we came back and ate the leftovers from the meal last night. I forgot to add that I made some corn chowder soup to go along with the chicken quesadillas, so it was nice to eat some more of that today J…there is nothing like soup on a cold winter day!! This afternoon, I was able to finish up “Chosen”, the first book in Ted Dekker’s Lost Series. I will now be starting on “Infidel”.
This evening we practiced an hour earlier than usual, which meant not as much time between practices. I was still able to sleep for about an hour, which was nice J. After practice we ate at the cafeteria…they fixed an amazing meal tonight. We had sea bass, potatoes, tomato soup, and salad!
Tomorrow we travel to Istanbul to play Fenerbahce on Saturday. They stand at number one in the league and are undefeated!! I am glad to finally get to be playing again after a two-week break! We leave tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. due to the snow that we have had. It normally takes 5-6 hours on a typical day, but because of the snow they are predicting anywhere from a 7-9 hour trip. From what I can tell, they don’t have road crews like we do here in the states…well they may have them, but they are not as efficient I don’t think.
If you could pray for me, I am coming down with a cold! Just pray that I would be able to get over it as quickly as possible J.
I hope you all have a wonderful rest of the day. I attached a few pictures of the snow that I took this morning…enjoy J
Verses of the day:
Psalm 52:8-9 “But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God’s unfailing love for ever and ever. I will praise you forever for what you have done; in your name I will hope, for your name is good. I will praise you in the presence of the saints.”
Proverbs 28:14 “Blessed is the man who always fears the Lord, but he who hardens his heart falls into trouble.”
