How is everyone doing? Today was another busy day.
We won our game yesterday against Edremit 69-39 - Awesome to start the season out 1-0 - GREAT!!!
Yesterday I did not have access to internet on my computer, so I did not post a blog yesterday. Yesterday I slept in a little bit and then did a pool workout. After my pool workout my team president came and picked me up to watch a women's basketball game in the city. There are two Division 1 team's here in Samsun, so I went and watched Canik (the other team here in Samsun) play against Fenerbahce. Fenerbahce is routinely the 1st or 2nd place team in Turkey. They showed that they were in the game. They ended up winning by about 24 points. It was neat, because after the game I was able to catch up with a former teammate that I played with in Poland last year. She plays for Fenerbahce this year, so it was nice to catch up with her a little bit. In the evening I went and got dinner with Tonja and hung out with her a little bit.
This morning I woke up and went to rehab. After rehab I took the tram into the city to go workout at the gym. The team had today off because they didn't get back until 7:30 a.m. this morning after driving through the night. I got lunch with my teammate Andja and then relaxed a little bit and iced my foot. I then went back into the city with Andja to relax a little bit and then we got dinner. It was nice to be able to chill some. After dinner we went and visited Tonja. She came through her surgery okay which was great.
The picture above I took today while walking through some of the streets in Samsun. The picture below is of me after working out today. It is always nice to get a good workout in!! It has been beautiful weather here the past few days...you can't even tell it is almost November here.
Okay well it is bed for me! Hopefully I will be able to post a blog tomorrow.
God bless,
Megan
TO LIVE in My Presence consistently, you must expose and expel your rebellious tendencies. When something interferes with your plans or desires, you tend to resent the interference. Try to become aware of each resentment, however petty it may seem. Don’t push those unpleasant feelings down; instead, let them come to the surface where you can deal with them. Ask My Spirit to increase your awareness of resentful feelings. Bring them boldly into the Light of My Presence, so that I can free you from them.
The ultimate solution to rebellious tendencies is submission to My authority over you. Intellectually you rejoice in My sovereignty, without which the world would be a terrifying place. But when My sovereign will encroaches on your little domain of control, you often react with telltale resentment.
The best response to losses or thwarted hopes is praise: The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Remember that all good things---your possessions, your family and friends, your health and abilities, your time---are gifts from Me. Instead of feeling entitled to all these blessings, respond to them with gratitude. Be prepared to let go of anything I take from you, but never let go of My hand!

"No matter what your circumstances may be, you can find Joy in My Presence. Begin by remembering that I have created this day; it is not a chance occurrence. Recall that I am present with you whether you sense My Presence or not. Then, start talking with Me about whatever is on your mind. Rejoice in the fact that I understand you perfectly, and I know exactly what you are experiencing. As you continue communicating with Me, your mood will gradually lighten. Awareness of My marvelous Companionship can infuse Joy into the greatest day."
