The weekend is finally here. My sisters got in safely to the States last night for anyone who was wondering. I am thankful they had a great trip back across the water. This weekend I actually have off which is super nice. Today we had practice in the morning and then the rest of the day I spent relaxing. I came home and chilled for a little bit and then I headed to an American families house to hang out with them and have pizza with them in the evening. I plan on staying up later to watch some of the Liberty Women's Basketball game tonight and then I will get to sleep in tomorrow. I am going to try to make some homemade squash soup tomorrow and then I may catch a movie at the movie theater as well. If I do make the squash soup, I will be sure to take a picture or two and post it on my blog tomorrow.
I wanted to pass along to you an excerpt from "Jesus Calling" today:
"Shift your focus from your performance to My radiant Presence. The Light of My Love shines on you continually, regardless of your feelings or behavior."
May we all bask in that this weekend. Our attention and focus needs to be on the Lord and not ourselves. This world is a pretty messed up and crazy place, and yet we have the opportunity to be a light for Jesus in this dark place. May we not get bogged down by the chaos around us, but rather use it as an opportunity to display Jesus' love and joy to those we come in contact with. The real answer and key to the problems of this world is JESUS. What are you and what am I doing on a daily basis to show the world who He is?
Have a WONDERFUL weekend!
