Today has been a busy, long, but good day. I woke up at 4:45 a.m. to get ready to head out around 5:30 a.m. If it isn't bad enough waking up that early, try waking up and realizing you have no power in your apartment. Yes, we didn't have power, so thankfully I could use my phone to get around and get ready. Our flight to Moscow was at 8:30 a.m. and we made it to Russia a little after noon. We lost an hour coming here, so right now we are 8 hours ahead of you all in the EST zone.
We play at 10:00 a.m. EST tomorrow here in Moscow. We will play our game here at 6:00 p.m. but because of an 8 hour time change it means the game is at 10:00 a.m. in the States. I will let you know how it goes!!

This is the last game for us in Eurocup. We will not pass to the second round, so after this game, the rest of the season we will be playing our games in Turkey. This first half of the season has been pretty tough mentally and physically with all of the travel and staying in a hotel in Ordu at times. I think we are all ready for a break after these next 2 games. It makes it pretty hard since we don't have a true "home" gym, which then means a lot more travel for us, but God has sustained us and has been faithful and for that I am so thankful!!
I think tomorrow night after the game we are going to do a little bit of sight seeing and try to check out some places here in Moscow as a team. I hope to take some pictures :)
Oh and this time next week I will be flying back to the States...home sweet home :) I can't wait!!!
Reading for the day:
December 16th
1 Samuel 15/Revelation 14
1 Samuel 15 – Saul defeats the Amalekites, but he does not follow completely what he has been told to do by the Lord. He decides to keep some of the cattle and sheep, even though he wasn’t supposed to. Samuel learns of Saul’s disobedience and goes to Saul and tells him that he will no longer be the King of Israel. I love this verse:
“What is more pleasing to the Lord:
your burnt offerings and sacrifices
or your obedience to his voice?
Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice,
and submission is better than offering the fat of rams (vs.22).
Revelation 14 – It is amazing how the Lord sets aside 144,000 people. God’s power is so evident in this book of the Bible.
God bless,
Megan
