I posted a few pics from the game on Saturday.
Today has been a rainy day here. We had two practices today. I didn't get too much accomplished besides practice and I did take a nap which was great. I had gone to bed after 2 am because I stayed up to watch TR630, which was a great service last night. I will probably go to bed early tonight :).
Tomorrow we have only one practice, so I will get to sleep in. Our next game is Thursday. We start up Euroleague on Thursday, and play a team from Spain.
Verse of the Day: Proverbs 14: 26-27
“Those who fear the Lord are secure; he will be a refuge for their children. Fear of the Lord is a life-giving fountain;it offers escape from the snares of death.”
Thank the Lord we serve a God who is faithful to us. Why wouldn’t we want to fear Him? He has proven Himself to be true and just. I think of how there have been people searching for “the fountain of youth”. Well, essentially having a relationship with the Lord is a fountain of youth. We are able to spend our entire lives with the Lord.
My Utmost For His Highest:
“But if we walk in the light,” we are cleansed “from all sin” (1 John 1:7). It is a matter of obedience, and once we obey, the relationship is instantly perfected. But if we turn away from obedience for even one second, darkness and death are immediately at work again.
It is not always easy to obey. There are some cases where when we obey it is awkward or it hurts. You think about Jesus. He obeyed instructions from the Lord to come down to this earth as a man and die for us. How can we deliberately choose not to obey the Lord, when we are serving someone who is perfect? When we do not obey, darkness will consume us on all sides. When we start to sin, it gets easier to continue to sin if we do not stop and repent of what we are doing. In order for the Lord to use, we must repent of our sin and turn our eyes completely on HIM!!
