Hello All! This is Molly guest blogging for Megan. Today was a good day. Meg did not have anything until 12:30 p.m., so once we got up Mor and I fixed pancakes with nutella and made Meg some eggs. Then we went to Megan’s gym while she was in her meeting and we were able to shoot around a bit, and met a girl named Mislina. She knew English fairly well and we were able to talk with her some. Then we watched her practice and came home.
We made salad, garlic bread and pizza for dinner. Santos, one of Meg's teammates came over, as well as Gorkem who played on Meg's team last year. Gorkem brought us tea from Tarsus that we had when we visited there on Sunday. It is only made in Tarsus and tastes amazing. So excited to bring it back to the states. For dinner, we made one pizza with spinach, mushroom, and tomato, and one with tomato and cheese. Both tasted excellent.
The weather was beautiful outside because the weather was in the high sixties. Still have four more days here for which I am thankful. Hope everyone has a great rest of the week.
Molly
*****************************************************************************************************************Verse of the Day:
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.— Acts 4:12 (NIV)
Thoughts on Today's Verse...While many substitute-Messiahs have been offered, only the True Messiah saves. While we often live for many lords, only one Lord liberates and sets us free from sin and death. While many ways are claimed to bring us close to God, Jesus insists that he is the only way. So we're driven to one ultimate question: do we believe salvation is in Jesus alone, or do we not? It's our choice. But what we decide about Jesus is really deciding about everything. Is Jesus your Lord? Is Jesus the name above all names in your life? Is Jesus your Savior? If not, then please reconsider, for the Bible says: "Salvation is found in no one else."
My Utmost For His Highest:
Have you ever felt the pain, inflicted by the Lord, at the very center of your being, deep down in the most sensitive area of your life? The devil never inflicts pain there, and neither can sin nor human emotions. Nothing can cut through to that part of our being but the Word of God.
Our Daily Bread:
Each of us has been given gifts; and when we use them for God’s glory, they bring satisfaction and joy.
The gifts we offer to the Lord
Are by His standards measured;
Our sacrifice and lives of praise--
Such gifts are highly treasured. —Sper
We were created to give God the glory.
