I decided I would make some pizza tonight for dinner after previous dinner plans fell through :). I hadn't made homemade pizza in awhile, so it was fun. Juliana got in on chopping the garlic, cutting the mushrooms, and cutting up some strawberries for dessert! The pizza turned out well. I added some chicken, mozzarella cheese, and a yellow cheese on the pizza along with the mushrooms, garlic, and a little bit of butter. After dinner we all played Farkle for a little bit which is a dice game.
Now Juliana and I are just chillin which is nice. I heated up some salep to drink which was good! I figured I would write a little bit in my blog. It is crazy to think, that as of today there is only 69 days left until the season is over. That time is going to go by super fast I think - It means 9 weeks and 6 days to be exact so we are in the single digits of weeks. WOW! We also only have 12 games left of the season also - time is flying! I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know my teammates. We have a great group of girls, the only downside is that we haven't been able to win a lot of games.
I try not to think of the future too much, because I want to stop and enjoy the present :)!! I enjoy the many lessons that the Lord teaches me while I am away from my family and friends, but I also look forward to the time that I have with family and friends back in the States. BUT it is also neat to be able to meet new people and make new friends while overseas. I think I have the best of both worlds...what do you think? Thankful for all of you!
I listened to a message earlier today and wanted to share some things that stuck out to me:
Living Beyond Ordinary
CrossPoint Church
December 2012
God is in the desert.
Extraordinary is not a result of our circumstances it is an outcome of our choices that we make.
Look to God to provide when only He can.
God doesn’t want you to be fixed…He wants you to be whole.
Who are you expecting to be God that isn’t “being God” in your life?
Oftentimes God will ask you to step into the desert. And our natural response it go back to the familiar, but when we do that we will miss out on what the Lord has for us.
Choose God beyond ordinary.
God longs to transform your heart not your behavior.
Most of the time extraordinary is found at the end of your comfort zone. The question is, will you go there?
January 20th - "Jesus Calling"
APPROACH THIS DAY WITH AWARENESS OF WHO IS BOSS. As you make plans for the day, remember that it is I who orchestrate the events of your life. On days when things go smoothly, according to your plans, you may be unaware of My sovereign Presence. On days when your plans are thwarted, be on the lookout for Me! I may be doing something important in your life, something quite different from what you expected. It is essential at such times to stay in communication with me, accepting My way as better than yours. Don’t try to figure out what is happening. Simply trust Me and thank Me in advance for the good that will come out of it all. I know the plans I have for you, and they are good.
Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
