Today was a good day! Caleb and I had a good time together. Caleb is still getting over jet lag so he slept in and then we made a brunch for breakfast/lunch which consisted of chocolate chip pancakes and scrambled eggs.
Practice went well this afternoon! This evening Caleb and I went out to eat at a local restaurant and then we went and watched a movie. It is time for me to hit the sack. Tomorrow we have practice and then it is game day on Wednesday!!
God bless,
Megan
Reading for the day:

Genesis 34/Acts 10
Genesis 34 – Jacob’s sons decide to take out revenge on Shechem who raped Dinah one of Jacob’s daughter’s. I bet that would be tough as a brother of a sister who was raped to not want to retaliate. Jacob tells Simeon and Levi that they have ruined him by killing Shechem along with many other people in the city, yet their reply was: “But why should we let him treat our sister like a prostitute? (vs.31) I think this is a great example of making sure that we are seeking after the Lord. There are a lot of injustices in this world. We must not act on our emotion, but rather listen to the Holy Spirit’s prompting and guiding.
Acts 10 – Wow! This chapter is awesome. It is so neat to see that God shows no favoritism whether someone is a Jew or Gentile. Paul does an amazing job of showing how God does not have favorites. As a result, the Lord blesses His words and the Holy Spirit comes down to the people Paul was talking to.
