You gotta love the jet lag. It is going on 6:45 a.m. and I have been up since about 6 a.m.
Many of you may be wondering why I was not able to blog the past few days. Well, I actually have returned back to the Unites States. The team I was playing for has had different problems throughout the season, and most recently they have continued to struggle with paying salaries that they owe. My decision to leave the team was not an easy one, but after discussing with my agent, family, and thinking and praying about it, I felt it was time to take a stand morally for what is right.
I am not sure what the Lord has in store for my future, but I know He holds it in the palm of His hand, so I can rest in His perfect peace. I have no hard feelings against my coach, club President, or team.
I will probably be blogging less frequently as I am home, but will continue to update you all from time to time. Thank you so much for all of your support and keeping up with me while I was in Turkey.
"But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me. I will sing to the LORD because he is good to me." Psalm 13:5-6, NLT
These devotionals below are great and so applicable in my life right now!
February 7th - "Jesus Calling"
“COME TO ME FOR REST and refreshment. The journey has been too much for you, and you are bone weary. Do not be ashamed of your exhaustion. Instead, see it as an opportunity for Me to take charge of your life.
Remember that I can fit everything into a pattern of good, including the things you wish were different. Start with where you are at this point in time and space, accepting that this is where I intend you to be. You will get through today one step, one moment at a time. Your main responsibility is to remain attentive to Me, letting Me guide you through the many choices along your pathway.
This sounds like an easy assignment, but it is not. Your desire to live in My Presence against the grain of “the world, the flesh, and the devil.” Much of your weariness results from your constant battle against these opponents. However, you are on the path of My choosing, so do not give up! Hope in Me, for you will again praise Me for the help of My Presence.
*Thankful we serve a God who knows what we need when we need it. He is faithful to give us enough strength to get through each and every day. This life is full of twists and turns, but we serve a God who has paved the way ahead for us that we may walk fully in Him - in His unsurpassed strength. May we strive to live in His Presence on a daily basis.
February 8th - "Jesus Calling"
I AM ABOVE ALL THINGS: your problems, your pain, and the swirling events in this ever-changing world. When you behold My Face, you rise above circumstances and rest with Me in heavenly realms. This is the way of Peace living in the Light of My Presence. I guarantee that you will always have problems in this life, but they must not become your focus. When you feel yourself sinking in the sea of circumstances, say “Help me, Jesus!” and I will draw you back to Me. If you have to say that thousands of times daily, don’t be discouraged. I know your weakness, and I meet you in that very place.
Like this devotional says below, we WILL encounter problems and trials. Our focus must be Heavenward and not inward. He promises to give a "Peace that passes all understanding". May we not lose heart, but rather press on in victory knowing that the Lord has already won the battle for us.

God bless,
