This afternoon I also met with a Bible Study group that I am in as we go through a book called "God's Space". It is a great time of sharing stories and encouraging one another.
Tomorrow we practice at two p.m. and then we leave Saturday to fly to Antalya. From there we will take a bus to Alanya where we will play on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
A friend of mine gave me the new Brandon Heath CD called "Leaving Eden". I wanted to share a song that I really like on the CD. Below is a link you can listen to the song, as well as the lyrics listed.

Brandon Heath: The Light in Me
My life before You
I was a flame burning down
I was burning out
But You knew me better
For You there was never a doubt
God, since You gave me life
Something was different, I Knew it the instant
You put the light in me
This path is sure too hard
You are the hope that leads me out of the dark
You let Your love shine down
So that the world could see
You put the light in me
The light, you put the light in me
The light, you put the light in me
The light, you put the light in me
The light, you put the light in me
You are the Maker, you tell the sun when yo rise
I'm just a house on a hill
But You make me brighter than all the stars in the sky
Keep me from growing down
Cause in Your perfection, I'm just a reflection
So pull me closer to You
I catch like a fire and I'll hold You higher
Cause You put the light in me
This path is sure too hard
You are the hope that leads me out of the dark
You let Your love shine down
So that the world could see
You put the light in me
The light, you put the light in me
The light, you put the light in me
The light, you put the light in me
The light, you put the light in me
I'll raise it high, I'll let it show
From the rooftops down to the streets below
In day and night, You will be known
And all will see
You put the light in me
Cause You put the light in me
This path is sure too hard
You are the hope that leads me out of the dark
You let Your love shine down
So that the world could see
You put the light in me
The light, you put the light in me
The light, you put the light in me
The light, you put the light in me
The light, you put the light in me
I thank the Lord that I have "the light in me". I don't think I can imagine a life without the Lord. WOW...where would I be? In the good times and bad, He is FAITHFUL!!!
I hope you all have a wonderful rest of the day!!! :)

The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.— Proverbs 15:4 (NIV)
Thoughts on Today's Verse...Words are powerful. Communicators know this. Negotiators know this. Deep down, you know this. Words have blessed you and words have devastated you. The healing that comes from a kind and tender word is precious. The destruction of a cruel taunt or a well-told deception is crushing. To have such power is amazing. To use this awesome power found in our speech is an awesome responsibility. Words do have the power to give life, hope, and peace when offered in love to honor Jesus. Let's speak those words today!
My Utmost For His Highest:
The real test of spiritual focus is being able to bring your mind and thoughts under control. Is your mind focused on the face of an idol? Is the idol yourself? Is it your work? Is it your idea of what a servant should be, or maybe your experience of salvation and sanctification? If so, then your ability to see God is blinded. You will be powerless when faced with difficulties and will be forced to endure in darkness. If your power to see has been blinded, don’t look back on your own experiences, but look to God. It is God you need. Go beyond yourself and away from the faces of your idols and away from everything else that has been blinding your thinking. Wake up and accept the ridicule that Isaiah gave to his people, and deliberately turn your thoughts and your eyes to God.
Our Daily Bread:
Stephen was confronted by a hostile crowd in the days of the early church (Acts 6–7). A panel of religious authorities listened to lying witnesses accuse him of blasphemy (Acts 6:13). Stephen responded by speaking the truth of God’s Word, which reinforced his faith in Christ. At the end of his speech, he said, “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!” (7:56). Then the crowd stoned him (v.58). Jesus, who was watching from heaven, welcomed Stephen home.
Most Christians aren’t confronted with this much hostility. Yet we all need to “stand fast in the Lord” when the pressure is on (Phil. 4:1). We can’t let others silence our voice for Christ. Speaking up for Jesus does not always win the crowd’s favor here on earth, but it does ensure His approval in heaven, where it matters the most.
Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the strife will not be long;
This day the noise of battle—the next the victor’s song.
To him that overcometh a crown of life shall be:
He with the King of glory shall reign eternally. —Duffield
If you meet opposition, maybe it shows that you are doing something that counts.
