For me, I have had a lot just today :) First off, we had a lift this morning at 8:30 a.m. Now I wasn't too thrilled about lifting that early in the morning, but it is a blessing to be able to lift. I then went on to practice where we did shooting. On the way home I got some havuc suyu (carrot juice) to drink on walk home. Let me just say, there is nothing like fresh carrot juice!!
This afternoon, I took a short nap, then I was able to briefly talk to my parents. I try to call them every morning and chat for about 5 minutes before they head off to work. I then walked to practice. Practice went well today...we did quite a bit more running today, but we once again survived...and what a blessing to be able to run up and down the court.
So, after practice is when I started getting showered with blessings. First off, I got a bike :) I have been wanting to get a bike for awhile, and I now have one! I am hoping to be able to curtail some of my walking, and it will be nice to have the bike to get around and go to places if I want to. My coach walked me to a place where I could get the tires pumped up because they were low. Another blessing happened as I was carrying my bike up the stairs to my apartment. I opened the door to wheel the bike in and as I was going to shut it, there was a man standing there. He was holding a box and I was wondering what it was. He came into the apartment and dropped off a convection oven for our apartment...WOW! I had been asking to get our oven fixed, and nothing had been fixed for 4 weeks, so I was ecstatic when I saw the guy dropping off a convection oven. I got used to using once in Ankara last year, and this one is a brand new one and super nice! Then the guy motioned to look at our shower head (that has been broken awhile too). I could not fully understand everything in Turkish, but I could make out that he was going to come tomorrow night to fix it :) YAY!!
I have had to wait awhile for some of the things to get done, but good things to come to those who wait. Thank you Lord for supplying all that we need in your perfect timing.
So I ask you once again...what blessings from the Lord have you been given this week? Take time to thank Him :)

Verse of the Day:
The word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.— Hebrews 4:12 (NIV)
Thoughts on Today's Verse...How often do you let God do major surgery on your spirit as his Spirit uses the Word to encourage, judge, motivate, convict, instruct, and inspire? With such a great tool so readily at hand for most of us, let's not let a day go by that we don't let God use his word on hearts.
My Utmost For His Highest:
The missionary’s great essential is remaining true to the call of God, and realizing that his one and only purpose is to disciple men and women to Jesus. Remember that there is a passion for souls that does not come from God, but from our desire to make converts to our point of view.
Our Daily Bread:
Greed can drive us to be disloyal to others and to God, causing us to make sinful choices. Our desire should be to exhibit a heart that is fully committed to love the Lord and others. He shows “Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him” (2 Chron. 16:9).
O Lord, may my heart be loyal to You
In all that I say and all that I do;
When a trusted person is not a true friend,
I know that on You I can always depend. —Hess
Loyalty is the test of true love.
