Sorry I wasn't able to type much yesterday. Before I knew it the day got away from me. I slept until about 12:30 p.m. and then I did some laundry, cleaning, and some other things. We left for practice at 4:30 p.m. and ended up not getting back from practice until around 9:00 p.m. because after practice we got our gear and stuff.
Today has been a busy day. We had lifting at 9:45 a.m. this morning and then got back from lifting around noon. It is a good 15 minute drive into the city each day, so it takes some time to pick everyone up on the bus and then after practice we all take showers so it all takes time.
This afternoon I will be going into the city to do some errands and then this evening we don't practice until 7:00 p.m.
We also found out yesterday that we leave Thursday for what could potentially be a 17 day road trip. Yes, can you believe that - SEVENTEEN day trip!! We will bus 8 hours to get to where we are going tomorrow morning. We will play Friday and Saturday. Have off Sunday...and play Monday. Then we will have Tuesday through Thursday off/practice and then play Friday, Saturday, have off Sunday and then play Monday again. From there it is up in the air. We may play another tournament the next weekend and if so we will stay, which means it would be a 17 day road trip. If not, then we will come back home early. So, hear we go!!!
Some of the games are on TV, so as I know I will let you know the link so you can watch them online if you want to or are able to. It has been awesome so far because the coach is up front and honest with us and tells us what he knows. He knows amazing English, and for that I am so thankful. He is very helpful. I have been blown away honestly.
I also found out from the coach that we will play the Turkish Cup October 12th, 13th, and 14th. From there we may start the official season on the 17th or it could be the 19th or 20th. We won't know the official game schedule until a couple of weeks later. They are having a big election for the new president of Turkish Women's Basketball. All the focus is on that he said. Once the elections are done, then they will finalize the schedule for the 2012-2013 Women's Basketball . We will then find out when we play and if we have time off at Christmas and stuff. So, I am praying that we do, but the Lord knows best !!! He has worked everything out so far, and I know He will continue to.
Have a great rest of your day! Happy "hump day" :)!!!
Megan
Verse of the Day:
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid." John 14:27
