I had a good day today. I woke up early, had practice, then did abs, and then came home and listened to a sermon...which was really good by the way! I chilled a little bit this afternoon, then made the chili, and prepared the dessert for this evening. I hung out with Tolu some (girl who went to Liberty). Then all the girls came over (from the previous Friday night get togethers) and we had chili and played games. Tomorrow we have practice in the morning and then I am free the entire rest of the day. I plan on taking a nap and then maybe going for a walk later on in the day!! Our next game is on Sunday!!

NOTES FROM MY BIBLE READING TODAY:
January 24th
Genesis 18/Luke 18
Genesis 18 – “Is anything too hard for the Lord?” What a great questions that is asked in this chapter…no NOTHING is too hard for Him. What a blessing knowing we serve a God who NOTHING is too hard for Him. Abraham and Sarah are reminded yet again that she will have a child. At the end of the chapter Abraham intercedes on behalf of Sodom.
Luke 18 – Parables are used once again in this chapter. The first parable talks about the persistence of a widow towards a judge. She bothered the judge so much that eventually justice was rendered to her. The second parable is of the Pharisee and the tax collector. The Pharisee prayed out in the open and his whole prayer was focused on the good things that he does and the bad things that he doesn’t do. Meanwhile the tax collector’s prayer was asking for forgiveness because he knew he was a sinner. The reality of it is, we are all sinners and mess up on a daily basis. Once again Jesus addresses the importance of humility!! Jesus concludes the passage by predicting his death and then also healing a blind man. The blind man courageously yelled out amongst the crowd going by him and Jesus heard him and said, “Your faith has healed you”. May we all have faith like this blind man; after all faith is believing in what we cannot see.
God bless,
Megan
