I hope everyone has a great weekend! I am not sure how long the flight is tomorrow to the game. We are only taking one jet this time, so we have to fly in 2 groups. Depending on what group I am in after the game will determine when I get home. If I am in the second group, then it will be awhile before I get home.
Verse of the day: Proverbs 11:30-31
"The seeds of good deeds become a tree of life; a wise person wins friends. If the righteous are rewarded here on earth, what will happen to wicked sinners?"
This is a great reminder! How are we living out our lives on this earth? Are we living each and every day for the Lord or for men? Is our ultimate desire to bring honor and glory to the Lord or to ourselves? Our focus should be on the Lord – He has enabled us to be who we are.
My Utmost For His Highest:
"Sin is a fundamental relationship— it is not wrong doing, but wrong being— it is deliberate and determined independence from God. The Christian faith bases everything on the extreme, self-confident nature of sin. Other faiths deal with sins— the Bible alone deals with sin. The first thing Jesus Christ confronted in people was the heredity of sin, and it is because we have ignored this in our presentation of the gospel that the message of the gospel has lost its sting and its explosive power."
When we sin, we are shoving aside the Lord. The Lord desires us to follow Him and Him alone. What are you doing today that is not pleasing to the Lord? We must not ever get comfortable in sin. When we do, it is a dangerous thing. The Lord desires us all to live a holy and pure life. When we commit to following Him, our utmost desire should be to live for the Lord. When we are asking ourselves “What would Jesus do?” we will find ourselves doing what we should be doing. How are you living today? Who are you living for?
