Today was another busy day. I was able to sleep in this morning which was nice. I knocked out some more of my big project due in November. Jo and I walked to the gym around 12:15 p.m. because we had a meeting at 12:45 p.m. We watched film and then we talked a little bit about our strategy for tomorrow. We then loaded up the bus and drove to Tarsus (about a 40 minute drive) to practice. We did a walk through of some of their plays and did some shooting.
I am excited to play tomorrow! It will be my first official game back since June. We have had several pre-season games here, but there is nothing like the thrill and excitement of an "official game". I will let you know how we do.
After the game tomorrow, I am planning on staying in Tarsus and eating with Shanna, then we are going to take the train back to Adana. I played with Shanna for one year down in San Antonio. I am excited to get to hang out with her some. It is going to work out great, because she has been wanting to go to church, so she will get to go to church with me too on Sunday :). Pray that we figure out the correct train to get on and the correct place to get off. It should be pretty easy between the two of us, but it will be a little adventure for us.

Today's Verse:
Carry each other's burdens and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.— Galatians 6:2 (NIV)
Thoughts on Today's Verse...I feel so burdened myself, that sometimes I can't even see others burdens. But Jesus reminds me that if I am to be like him, I will be a burden carrier. This is why he came, why he died, and why his resurrection is so important -- to lift from us the burdens of sin, death, and depravity. He has blessed us by carrying our heaviest burdens so that we might lighten the load of those around us.
My Utmost For His Highest:
The Spirit of God witnesses to the redemption of our Lord, and to nothing else. He cannot witness to our reason. We are inclined to mistake the simplicity that comes from our natural commonsense decisions for the witness of the Spirit, but the Spirit witnesses only to His own nature, and to the work of redemption, never to our reason. If we are trying to make Him witness to our reason, it is no wonder that we are in darkness and uncertainty. Throw it all overboard, trust in Him, and He will give you the witness of the Spirit.
Our Daily Bread:
God’s work of creating is done;our work of praising has only begun.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!
I wanted to attach a picture of something that I eat a couple of times a week. There is this place on the way home that Jon and I will stop and get a chicken sandwich for supper while walking home. This is what the chicken looks like before they shave it off and give it to us.
