We won our game today!!! YAY! It was a pretty crazy game, but we were able to pull out the win in overtime and win 80-78. That now bumps us up to fourth place and puts us at 9-6 on the season. We have the next 2 days off, because we do not play again until next Monday (Feb. 7th).
I along with one of my teammates may be going to Cappadocia to visit. It is about a 3 1/2 hour car ride from Adana. It is a pretty well-renowned place that tourists will visit while in Turkey. I may or may not go, but it would be awesome if it works out to go :)
Will keep you posted!!
Have a great week everyone :)

But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.— 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)
Thoughts on Today's Verse...When I pray, I often catch myself simply wanting God to do what I want, not necessarily what is best or most expedient for those around me or for the good of the Kingdom. I don't like to hear that God told Paul that he had asked enough about deliverance from his problem. Instead, Paul needed to learn that God's gracious strength and mercy were enough to sustain him even in trial. While I know I need to learn this same lesson, it is daunting. I want God to keep things nice and tidy for me. But then I remember I am a follower of Christ. If I am to become like my Savior, then I have to let go of my requirements on God's answers and open up to God's work to redeem others through me, no matter the personal cost. Only then can I truly know that his grace is sufficient for me!
My Utmost For His Highest:
God never speaks to us in dramatic ways, but in ways that are easy to misunderstand. Then we say, “I wonder if that is God’s voice?” Isaiah said that the Lord spoke to him “with a strong hand,” that is, by the pressure of his circumstances (Isaiah 8:11). Without the sovereign hand of God Himself, nothing touches our lives. Do we discern His hand at work, or do we see things as mere occurrences?
Our Daily Bread:
The best way to set a good example for our children is to live out our faith in front of them. While they’re looking—they’re learning about what matters most.
Take stock of yourself and consider your child--
Your time and your thoughts are his due;
How would you reply to the Lord should He ask,
“What kind of parent are you?” —Anon.
Children may not inherit their parents’ talent,
but they will absorb their values.
*I thank the Lord for the great parents He has blessed me with!! :) Thanks Mom and Dad!
