Last night a couple of the girls off my team came over and we made cookies. I had made cookies earlier in the season and the girls loved them. They kept asking me when I was going to make them again, and I told them I would make some before heading back to the States for Christmas. So, last night was the night to bake :). I made 3 different kinds: oatmeal raisin, oatmeal chocolate chip, and crunchy oatmeal raisin cookies. The crunchy oatmeal raising cookies get their name because the raisins are crunchy (they have seeds inside). The raisin looks like a normal raisin, except for the fact whey you bite, their is a crunch that is not normally there (at least the raisins we have in the States). A couple of the girls wanted to learn how to make the "crunchy raisin cookies". We had a lot of FUN!! We ordered in some food and then made cookies. Dila, one of the girls who came over, knows English pretty well, so I skyped my sisters and my roommates and the Turkish girls talked to my sisters for over an hour! We had a lot of FUN laughing and hanging out with one another.
Today:
We left for Cehyan this morning at 9:00. Eight hours later, and we arrived in Ceyhan!! I guess I can look at the 8 hour drive as a nice warm up for my 12 hour flight back HOME on Monday :)!! We play in Ceyhan which is about 45 minutes away from Adana. Ceyhan is a village, so we went and practiced there, and then came back on the bus to stay in Adana. We are actually staying at the same hotel we stayed in when we played Botas about a month or so ago.
Tomorrow we play Cehyan at 3:00 p.m. I will let you know how we do! Most likely, we will not be getting in until one or two o'clock early Sunday morning. Sunday I will be getting some rest, doing laundry, packing, and hanging out with a friend from church for a little bit.
Hope you all are doing well. I know Lynchburg, VA is getting some snow!!! So, to all of you there, be safe and stay warm!!
Shout out to Mrs. McKenna!! Looking forward to seeing you at UVA!! Thank you for your support of the Liberty Lady Flames and your continued support of me :). Make sure you have your fire going :)
ONE game + ONE off day + ONE day flying = Going HOME!!!
I am so excited I have trouble going to sleep at night :)
