I hope you all are having a great week! I just got back from morning practice a little bit ago. This morning we did lifting, drill work, and shooting. Tonight coach has promised us a short practice, which is nice. This afternoon we were supposed to try on our uniforms for Saturday's game, but the people never showed up at the gym, so after waiting 30 minutes we all headed back home.
I wanted to share some notes with you from listening to a message by Clayton King. Clayton is one of the campus pastor's at Liberty University.
Fighting Frustration
Clayton King
Romans 7:14-25
*We have to fight against sin!
How does sin make us feel?
1. Makes us feel dizzy with desire.
-sin makes us "think outside of our mind" - vs. 18
-there are times we will be confused, but we must remember to turn to the Lord for direction and guidance.
2. Makes us feel drunk with pleasure.
-energized, excited, and happy - vs. 19
-sin will never lead you to the truth - IT IS TEMPORARY!
-the pain you feel will be greater that the "pleasure" experience
SIN ALWAYS BRINGS PLEASURE AND MAKES YOU MOMENTARILY HAPPY, BUT IT WILL ALWAYS COME TO AN END!
Things to remember:
1. Our sin is great, but God is greater!
2. God loves to save sinners.
3. Sin makes us stupid.
How are we going to choose to live day to day? Chances to sin will be put in our paths on a daily basis. Am I going to choose to walk the straight and narrow path?
Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
What great verses to remind us that all of our trust should be in the Lord. Sure, we are going to trust people down on this earth, but we serve a God who is always true, and just. We can trust Him, because He is truly trustworthy. When we choose to put our trust in Him, He will direct our paths. He is essentially a built in GPS for our lives.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday! FOCUS on serving and pursuing the Lord :)
I have one more practice tonight, then it will be relaxing time for me this evening. I am planning on making some spaghetti for supper. I just got done frying the hamburger for the sauce.
God bless,
Megan
