After the movie I came back to Polkowice. I am not able to drive, so the mom graciously took me back and even helped me with grocery shopping. Thank you so much!!
I have been home for a little bit and am catching up on events of the day. Tomorrow I have an MRI on my elbow, so just pray that everything will be okay. I know one way or another that it will be, and so I am thankful for the peace that the Lord has given me. I will keep you posted on the results. My elbow is still sore, but I think it may be getting better with rest.
Unfortunately the game today in Valencia didn't turn out advantageous to CCC. We ended up losing by about 30 points. Tomorrow the team will travel back and then they will play again on Friday. If we win on Friday it will result in us going back to Spain and playing next Wednesday. If we lose, we are finished with Euroleague for the season and will have the Polish League to solely focus on. I will keep you posted how the game on Friday goes.
I listened to a message today by Francis Chan and I wanted to share some of what he talked about with you. I thought this was a great message!
THE BIGGEST LIE IN YOUR LIFE
Francis Chan
Phil 3:7-11
“I once thought these things were valuable, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done. Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith. I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death, so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead!”
I love these verses. Great reminder to us all about what we should consider valuable! “I WANT TO KNOW CHRIST” – do you?
Application Questions:
What is the biggest lie in your life right now?
What do you love/ who do you love?
He also referenced this verse:
Revelation 3:1-3
“I know all the things you do, and that you have a reputation for being alive—but you are dead. Wake up! Strengthen what little remains, for even what is left is almost dead. I find that your actions do not meet the requirements of my God. Go back to what you heard and believed at first; hold to it firmly. Repent and turn to me again.”
Are we acting like we are alive but yet truly inside we are dead?
Application Questions:
1. Who are you really?
2. What is your reputation?
3. What would God say about you?
4. Are you worried about your reputation more than your character?
5. Would what God says about you be different than what other people say about you? Are you living a double life?
Do we desire comfort and pleasure far more than we desire God?

Verse of the Day:
Be not afraid, O land; be glad and rejoice. Surely the LORD has done great things.
--Joel 2:21
AMAZING!
My Utmost For His Highest:
“There are times when it seems as if God watches to see if we will give Him even small gifts of surrender, just to show how genuine our love is for Him. To be surrendered to God is of more value than our personal holiness.”
What are you willing to surrender over to the Lord? We truly need to surrender our all to Him!
