Wow, where has the month of June gone? GOD has been so good. I am amazed when I take the time to reflect on the goodness of the Lord. In the "good" times and in the "bad" times he is faithful. He has promised to never leave or forsake us. I have been staying busy working out and doing basketball workouts. My elbow is doing really well, and for that I thank the Lord.
This past week I went to Indiana with my family and stayed out on my Grandparents farm. I had a lot of fun spending time with my parents as well as doing a few things around the farm. It was also a fun time of catching up with family as well.
This next week i head to Ohio to help run a basketball camp at Cedarville University. The camp should be a lot of fun. Then I am headed to visit Gparents for a few days and then I am back in VA for awhile. i have been pretty busy this summer, and have thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
"SURELY THE LORD HAS DONE GREAT THINGS" - Joel 2:20b
I was reading in my quiet time this morning from the book of Joel and this verse above really stuck out to me. If you sit back and think about it, the Lord has done and will continue to do great things in our lives. He created everything in this world. How can we not take time to stop and THANK Him for all He has done for us.
Proverbs 16:1 says, "We can make our own plans, but the Lord gives the right answer."
I encourage you to put your faith, hope, and trust in the Lord. He will never disappoint YOU! I am so thankful for the Lord's unconditional love for me. Without Him I would be lost. The Lord has really been teaching me the importance of maintaining JOY despite the circumstances around me. We all go through tough times in our lives. It is a part of living in a carnal world. How do react when tough times come?
