We had two practices today. Coach went a little bit easier on us the second practice which was nice. We found out that our game that we were supposed to play on Sunday is now on Monday, so I think that might been part of it. We have one practice tomorrow, and then another 2 a day on Friday.
Not much other news here; no news is good news :)

Verses of the day:
Psalm 100:5 “For the Lord is good and his love endures forever.”
A resounding theme in the Bible is the love of God. I was just talking about this today with a couple of my teammates in Bible Study. What is so amazing is we don’t deserve the Lord’s love, but he gives it to us FREE of charge, and his love is endless!!
Proverbs 17:14 “Starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam; so drop the matter before a dispute breaks out.”
My senior year of high school, my sisters and I stopped our homeschooling and went to a Christian school in town; we all played basketball for the school. One of the best pieces of advice I received from my coach was, “FLUSH IT”. I have been reminded of those two words several times in my life. This world is not perfect, so there are going to be times we are wronged. There are cases where we need to confront someone, but more often than not, it is best to let go and move on or in Coach Martin’s words FLUSH IT! J
Hebrews 1:10-11 “In the beginning, O Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth, and heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment.”
How amazing it is to think that the Lord was here before the foundations of the earth were laid, and he will remain forever and ever. If you think about the different religions out there, none of them worship someone who has existed forever. Praise the Lord that he gave us the opportunity to have a personal relationship with him. A lot of other religions also believe that they must do, do, do in order to hopefully attain a spot in what they call ” paradise”. We do not have to do several things in order to earn our salvation; we could never do enough. All the Lord asks of us is that we surrender to him, ask for his forgiveness, and from that point forward we begin a PERSONAL relationship with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, who was and is and is to come.

The Purpose Driven Life – Day 24
“TRANSFORMED BY TROUBLE”
Point to Ponder: “The truth transforms me.”
Bible Verse: John 8:31-32
“Because God is sovereignly in control, accidents are just incidents in Gods good plan for you. Because every day of your life was written on God’s calendar before you were born, everything that happens to you has spiritual significance.” p. 195
“God’s purpose is greater than our problems, our pain, and even our sin.” p. 196
“What happens outwardly in your life is not as important as what happens inside you.” p.197
“If you look at the world, you’ll be distressed. If you look within, you’ll be depressed. But if you look at Christ, you’ll be at rest!” p. 198 – Corrie ten Boom
Have a blessed rest of the day!
