I hope everyone is doing well. I have just started reading John Piper's book "Future Grace". I wanted to share a quote with you that I absolutely love:
"God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him. Sin is what you do when your heart is not satisfied with God." John Piper from his book "Future Grace"
Are we truly satisfied in God? Where do you find your satisfaction? Where do I find my satisfaction?
I have had a busy summer so far. AND although I have had a busy summer, it does not excuse me from not spending quality time with my Lord and Savior. When I am overseas I feel like I have a lot of extra time on my hands so it is there that I find myself listening to numerous messages online, reading a lot in my Bible, and yeah just spending time with Jesus, and praying. BUT why does it change when I come back to the States? Sure, I am usually not sitting around in my apartment for most of the afternoon or evening, but that is no excuse. Yes, I do still carve out time with the Lord, but why isn't it more? There is really no excuse whatsoever despite me being "busy"! The Lord has been showing me this and has been pricking my heart about this the past couple of weeks.
So it is definitely not a coincidence that a good friend of mine gave me the book by John Piper to read called "Amazing Grace". It is not a coincidence that I came across a video this morning from a lady who is dying with cancer and was able to hear her amazing and incredible perspective that she had on life. She has sense passed away and is now praising Jesus in Heaven. After watching the video, the Lord really humbled me. Would I have the same perspective that she had?
I wanted to post the video I came across today before I went to church. It is attached below.
1. Know God
2. Know yourself
3. Know the Gospel
4. Know your purpose
Video of the mother dying of cancer:
"God is good, He is in control, and He is fair"!

May we live each and every day to the fullest! Ultimately making sure that we spend time getting to know Jesus more and more every day. After all, what excuse do we have? Why wouldn't we want to make sure we are spending ample time with Jesus? Where or how do you spend your time? I can't help but think of Nike's slogan: "Just Do It"!! So, let's start making sure we are carving out time with the Lord daily. I am not talking about a few seconds or minutes (I mean that is better than no time at all), but lets make sure we are spending continual TIME with the one who is Lord of ALL!
I hope everyone has a great week ahead!
God bless,
Megan
