This afternoon I was reflecting on the awesomeness of God. I was doing some reading in Romans and came across these verses in Chapter 1:16-17:
"For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile. This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”
We have an opportunity to have a relationship with the Lord. We should not be ashamed of living out our walk with the Lord. Romans 1 goes on to talk about what happens when we choose not to follow the Lord:
vs. 24-27 "So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen. That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved."
You know, each of us have things that we struggle with. Satan attacks us at our weakest points. When we are striving to live for the Lord, the Lord comes alongside us and helps us fight against Satan. You can see from the verses above, some of the things we are capable of when we choose to live our own life. There is no way, left to ourselves, that we can WIN. I encourage you to come clean and confess any sin in your life that you might have. I can tell you, there is no greater feeling in the world than to know that ALL of you is in the palm of the Lord's hand. The Lord can't fully use us until we are fully willing to be used by Him. We cannot be fully usable unless we are ALL in. Are you willing to take the plunge?
I was thinking about the song that I added below. The Lord knows our hearts and wants the best for us. If you don't have a personal relationship with the one who "knows your name" I encourage you to start one. Feel free to message me or find someone you know around you and ask them how you can start a personal relationship with the Lord. I guarantee you, you will not be disappointed.
May we all have the passion and desire to go against the tide, and live for the Lord! Will it be easy? No, it won't - but God promises to never give us more than we can handle.
*When we are tired, He gives us strength.
*When we can't walk, he carries us!
*When we are lost, He finds us!
*When we are lonely, He is our comforter.
*When we are doubting, He gives us confidence.
*When we are restless, He gives us peace.
I also baked some pork chops that I got from the store, which were amazing! I am glad to be able to have the option to get pork from the store :)
I hope everyone has had a great Tuesday!
