Today has been a good day here! We had off again which was nice. I slept in, then went and worked out, and then I have been relaxing. I listened to a message. I wanted to share the notes with you:

Keys to Crossing OVER:
The Paradox of Progress
*The farther you go, the farther you realize you have to go.
- If you don’t know how to celebrate your strengths, you can’t focus on your weaknesses.
- Have you allowed the devil to turn your day of deliverance into a day of stress?
The Danger of Deprivation
- Deprivation is often disguised as discipline.
- Don’t defer your celebration until you reach perfection because then you will stop your progress.
- If you don’t stop to enjoy the “spoils” of this battle then you won’t be able to get through the struggles of the next battle.
Refrain from Excessive Celebration
- You don’t need to broadcast every blessing.
- Don’t celebrate too soon.
- Sacrifice and then celebrate.
- Don’t do sacrifice, sacrifice, sacrifice
- All sacrifice and no celebration = no strength.
- Don’t let bitter people keep you from enjoying your blessings.
If you enjoy the blessings God has given you can withstand any trials that come your way.
Some of the sweetest times of our lives are in the midst of struggles.
I also did my quiet time, and then baked some chocolate chip cookies for my teammates that I will take tomorrow to the afternoon practice. I have been going through the book of Romans which has been great! I was reading Ann Voskamp's blog today and came across a few quotes that I wanted to share from the blog.
"There can be unwavering peace today when an uncertain tomorrow is trusted to an unchanging God." What a blessing it is to know that we do serve a God who does not change in the midst of an ever changing world around us.
"In every storm - Your Father gives you a life preserver - and it is always His Son."
"In ever crisis - let it bring out the greatness of Christ in you. Real prayer always has eyes on Christ, not the crisis."
"Sometimes God allows all our anchors to break ---so we know the only unbreakable anchor we have is Him."
"When you feel like the pounding waves of everything might break you -- look for how He's using everything to break the wave."
"Thanksgiving isn't only a celebration when good things happen --- thanksgiving is a declaration that God is good no matter what happens."
I hope everyone has had a great start to the week! May we keep our eyes focused upward to the Lord!
God bless,
Megan
