I hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday! I went to Lubin today and went to the grocery store to get ingredients to make broccoli and cheese quiche. I have never made quiche before, but I have to say that it turned out really good. I posted a few pics above of the progression of the quiche. I also made some lemon poppyseed bread and some banana bread. I am going to be giving the banana bread to a couple of my teammates.
I was also able to listen into the message at Thomas Road today. It is such a blessing to be able to have access to listen to messages live over here.
Here are the notes from the message:

Thorn in the Flesh
2 Corinthians 12:7-10
“So to keep me from becoming proud, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to torment me and keep me from becoming proud. Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
What to do when you are given a thorn in the flesh?
1. It is okay to admit you have a thorn.
a. 1 Corinthians 1:18
2. It just might be that the thorn is with you forever.
a. Vs. 8
3. It’s okay, because God will take care of us.
a. Vs. 9
b. Our peace should never be dependent on our physical circumstances.
i. Philippians 4:6
4. God will always get you through it.
a. 1 Corinthians 10:13
b. God will never put more on you than he has put in you.
5. Asking God why is okay.
6. Joy and thorns can coexist.

Verse of the Day: Proverbs 13:13-14
“People who despise advice are asking for trouble; those who respect a command will succeed. The instruction of the wise is like a life-giving fountain; those who accept it avoid the snares of death.”
This verse reminds us that we need to make sure we are open to instruction from those around us. Of course some instruction is not wise to heed, but when we surround ourselves with fellow believers, it is important that we listen to them.
My Utmost For His Highest:
"Obedience means that I have completely placed my trust in the atonement, and my obedience is immediately met by the delight of the supernatural grace of God."
When we ask the Lord to come into our heart, we are going to want to obey because of what He has done for us. It should be a delight for us to obey the Lord. If you find yourself in a rut, take time to think about all that the Lord has blessed you with. We have so many things to be thankful for.

I will be listening to TR630 later on tonight, and relaxing the rest of the evening. Always nice to have a day to catch up on things.
I hope everyone has a great week ahead. Our next game is Thursday, so we will be practicing a fair amount this week.
God bless,
Megan
