Today I slept in a little bit and then headed to Lubin with a couple of my teammates. Today we had OFF which was super nice. One of the girls needed to get a shot in her knee, so we went and did that and then we went to the mall where the movie theatre is located. We had reserved tickets to watch a movie there. I don't go to the movies a whole lot, but it is nice to go from time to time.
Below are a few pics from today. I rarely wear jeans over here, so I had to document it ;). I snapped a couple of pictures in the movie theater as well. We grabbed lunch at KFC before the movie and then as a treat I got some popcorn for the three of us to share. The last pic is me with two of my teammates.
I was able to listen to my church's service back home and then I made dinner.
The rest of the evening I am going to be relaxing and catching up with family. Tomorrow we have 2 practices and then Tuesday early morning we head out for Russia.
Here is a pic of the finished product for supper:
“Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises.” James 5:13
When we are in need and when we are without need, we need to go to Jesus. We are instructed to pray when hard times come and to praise the Lord in the good times. What about praising the Lord in need and praying in the good times? It is easy to pray when we have a need and it is easy to praise the Lord when everything is going well. A challenge to me and to you: PRAISE HIM IN THE BAD TIMES AND PRAY TO HIM IN THE GOOD TIMES!!
My Utmost For His Highest:
“We should never take the forgiveness of sin, the gift of the Holy Spirit, and our sanctification in simple faith, and then forget the enormous cost to God that made all of this ours. Forgiveness is the divine miracle of grace. The cost to God was the Cross of Christ.”
It cost Jesus a lot to forgive us of our sins. Sometimes it is hard for my mind to wrap around the fact that someone who is blameless would die for me who is full of sin. I am so thankful that He did :).
